Title: Sloooow backup

I wonder if I need to adjust/optimize something.  I'm used to backing up with/on USB drives.

Now backing up to the DNS-321 is painfully slow

What can I check?

My pc has a gigabyte ethernet, It's connected to a Linksys WRT54GS.

What is the bottle neck or where/what do i look at/for?

Is the WRT54GS a gigabit router, I think its a 10/100 vice a 10/100/1000.  That is probably your first slow down.  There might be others.  It is not going to come close to the Flash based USB drives, or direct USB connection speeds.
