I updated my firmware on my DIR-615E3 today via the router software(i clicked "check for updates" and uploaded the file it downloaded) and after it count down from 120seconds my router now just has a orange power button. Hard reset does nothing. I used a wired connection to update the firmware.
Is there any way to roll the firmware back?

I figured it out! ;D I had to do the emergency re-upload and I have everything working now. Turns out, updating my router with Google Chrome was the problem. Used IE and it worked fine.

;) Glad it's working now.
Enjoy.

I have this problem as well. I upgraded firmware from 5.10 to 5.12 and it went
To solid amber power light only. Hard resets not resolving.
I could not find the faq talking about recovery. I'm typing this
On my smartphone. Where is the emergency reupload, Can you post link here?
Thanks

Hallo,
when I was in a similar situation after having updated the firmware with the result of orange lights on I found out that to power off the modem and the router for a couple of seconds and than to power on first the modem and after that the router everything worked fine.
In easy words: after the firmware update the router is a "different" device; the modem remenbers the old situation. By powering down the modem and the router the modem identifies the router as new device.
Good luck
