Title: Running different 802.11 modes depending on hours of the day
Post by: Saintor on August 03, 2013, 07:00:16 AM
We have a Withings Wi-fi scale that works on 802.11g.

I want to maintain our network running exclusively on 802.11n protocol, rather than mixed 802.11g/n mode. I can feel the speed difference for our park of 5 computers. This is a D-Link DIR-655.

I noticed that there are 'Schedules' options in the D-Link web admin pages.

Is there a way (through the Ð-link standard web admin pages or with another utility, macro, command-lines, etc...) to have schedules from 6-9h AM on mixed 802.11g/n, the rest of the time on exclusive 802.11n? I know about other available routers running on two bandwidths and I am not at the point of changing hardware.

There is no way to automatically change WiFi modes. Has to be done manually.
