Lets see who's gaming and any experiences...PC, XBL, Wii or PSN.
-
So having 2 xboxes online last night, SB and ABE enabled on a 50/2 ISP and playing BO2 on XBL. 1 xbox wired, 1 xbox using a 2.4Ghz wireless bridge.
Both consoles reported OPEN NAT however in game signal bars never saw Green, only 3 Yellow. After playing a few games, I decided to turn OFF ABE and reboot the router and reset xbox networking. After the reboot and reset, OPEN NAT and 4 Green signal bars were seen.
However, I attempted to log into the router once more and could not. The UI either crashed or was hung up. I could not gain access using OSX 10.7.5, Safari, Opera or FF. Internet access was still working however and gaming was good.
I had to power cycle the router before I could gain access to the UI.
Anyone else seen this UI hang after disabling ABE, or any other feature?

Furry, I just turned of ABE and tested my bandwidth came in 15/1, will test my (1) wireless xbox and iphone against the 5500.
Will let you know the results later.

Lex, you need to input your text before the ["QUOTE"] lines before you post so we can differentiate from the original text. ::)
Keep us posted, I doubt you might see anything since you only have 1 xbox, however if you can check gaming signal levels in a game with ABE OFF or ON...Might help.
Keep us posted.

I too had the same experience last night playing BO2.
One Xbox online wired directly to 5500/ SB and ABE enabled on 5500 / 40Mb down - 5Mb up ISP / playing BO2. I've never had an issue with NAT and the 5500 (always open). I also never saw green signal bars - just yellow.
I turned off ABE, rebooted the router, and noticed I now had 4 green signal bars when playing BO2. I did log in to the router without any problems. I didn't need to power cycle the modem to gain access to the UI.

How was game play after turning OFF ABE?
-
Try doing a factory reset and reconfigure your 5500, leave ABE on and see if you get GREEN.

How was game play after turning OFF ABE?
I forgot to mention game play was much better (it seemed). I did notice some lag with ABE turned on. I'm not sure if the 5500 was the culprit, or perhaps some other gamers connection to the servers.

I tested this ast week before this thread was made ans have had ABE off ever since. It definitely gets a way better connection to xbox live without it. Still hoping there is a fox for SB throttling my speed. For now I have it active. I did also have the UI crash on me also and wouldn't cone back until the third reboot.

Wanna use spell check sir? "Still hoping there is a fox for SB throttling my speed?"

I'm running 2 xbox 360's, one wired thru Dlink 841 power line adapter kit and one wireless. And a Playstation 3 (Fatty 60GB) connected via DHP-500AV power line adapter that works with the 841 kit. Can you tell I love dlink products? Anyway, gaming is smooth like butter, all open nats, even with others running netflix on multiple TV's and everyones ipad or laptop streaming somthing. I have actually experienced less lag then I did when I was running the DIR-857 and I thought that was amazing for gaming. Yo, this DGL-5500 smokes it without question. Just fix the ABE. SS is outstanding in my testing but with SB and ABE on, not so much. so I run with ABE off and SB on, like a boss.

Checked my router and determined no "fox". ;) That's a good thing because I think it would eat our cat and put up a pretty good fight with our Old English Bulldogge "Knoxx". :D

Ok well let me give my input.
I went back over to my buddies place with 4 xboxes, took some time however ALL 4 xboxes are online and with OPEN NAT on Halo 4. Don't have enough BO2 disks to check only 2.
I first reset the router to defaults and hooked up 3 xboxes wired and 1 on 2.4Ghz Mixed G and N mode, WPA2/AES only.
Streamboost ON, ABE OFF. DNS RELAY ON.
All devices were powered off.
I set reserved IP addresses for non gaming consoles to .190-199 range first.
I powered on each xbox one at a time and did a Factory Reset on each xbox, powered OFF then back ON.
New Host Name on the xbox.
Found and reserved the IP address starting at .100 thru .104 prospectively as I graduated turning them on and factory resetting them. After reserving the IP address and saving settings, you have to reboot the router and while it reboots turn on the next xbox and then reserve the IP address. Had to do this for each xbox.
After all were reserved I rebooted the router and shut off ALL xboxes.
Turned on the 1st xbox and checked NAT status in a game. OPEN. Followed up with all 3 xboxes, checking NAT status. ALL are OPEN. Whoo HOO.
Now we'll do some gaming and seen how what experiences are to be seen.
Wish I had brought a 5th xbox. LOL

Ok so I've been running 2 xbox's tonight for about 2 hours and I've got to say this is pissing me off lol. Playing Guardians Of Middle Earth damn near every game one of us would get kicked out. Was playing with a team of 5 none of the others would get disconnected from the game. Safe to say this router has it's good and bad days, but I don't remember having this type of problems with the 4500...There's no way this should be the case with a high end router and Fios 150/65 connection. Checked to make sure both 360's had open ports and they do.

Are xboxes wired or wireless?
Both are wired. one direct to the 5000 and one to my dlink access point which is hardwired to the 5500 as well. I've done a speed test on my macbook pro connected to both cables that I use for the xbox's and get nothing less than 100/50 on both. Just for some reason we kept losing connection to the host. Only one xbox at a time though. Never completely disconnected from xbox live once just the game we were currently in. to make matters worse this was pretty late at night so nothing else was going on with my network except my iPhone. Not like there should have been any cause for strain.
You think I should use my 4500 as a access point instead of the Dap 1522?
-
Well if your only getting disconnected from with in the game and not from XBL, could be somethign with the game. Does this happen with a different game? I'm most gaming on BO2 and it's been going ok accept for longer than usual wait times for the game lobby to populate..
-
honestly thats the only game we've really been playing as of late since the router change. We will see next week when splinter cell comes out how things go. This didn't happen when playing the same game on the 4500 though.
-
I would try a different game, helps narrow things down some. I play Halo games and older CoD games. I'll check those out as well.
I recommend maybe Factory Resetting the xboxes and re-test again.
-
I was experiencing disconnects for 3 days or so. Then it just started working flawlessly for some reason... I have no idea why...

I noticed after applying v1.10 that xbox gaming was getting put into Web catagory for Stats...finally after a few days, XBOX showed up. I guess something updated. ???
