i have a dlink adsl router(dsl 2750U) and a D-Link DIR-600L Wireless N150 Cloud Router.
when i connect the adsl router to the cloud router from adsl lan to 600l wan using the 1.5m cable the adsl router allocates the ip to the cloud router.
but when i connect using the 30 meters cable the cloud router is not getting the ip address form the adsl router.
i checked the cable by connecting my laptop to adsl router by the 30m cable(both in cross and straight mode),its working fine.
but when i used the 30m cable in(straight and cross mode)the cloud router is not getting ip from the adsl router.
adsl config:192.168.1.1 dhcp enabled.
cloud config:192.168.2.1 dhcp enabled.
any suggestions would be helpful????

Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=41537.0)
- Check cable between Modem and Router, swap out to be sure. Link> Cat6 is recommended. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAT6)
Also:
li] If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems: Link>Double NAT (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm) and How NAT Works (http://cognitiveanomalies.com/cisco-nat-how-nat-works/). To tell if the modem is bridged or not, look at the routers web page, Status/Device Info/Wan Section, if there is a 192.168.0.# address in the WAN IP address field, then the modem is not bridged. If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.[/li]
[li]For DSL/PPPoE connections on the router, ensure that "Always ON" option is enabled.[/li][/list]

i used a cat 6 cable in both (standard and cross modes).
both the 1.5m and the 30m cables are working fine.
but when i use the 30m cat6(standard or crossed)cable, adsl router is not giving ip to 600l router.
(the links between both the routers are also stable).

Well if the shorter cable is working and the longer cable isn't, I would presume the longer cable could be at fault here. Are you powering OFF the 600L before installing the longer cable? Try different ports on the back of the 600L?
-
i tested the long cable using the network cable tester and its working fine.
i installed the long cable between adsl router and the 600l router in different possible cases(ie adsl router "on" and 600l "off" ,adsl "on" and 600l "on" )
but its not working.

So can you install the longer cable and put in place a Laptop or PC and test instead of the 600?

Also pull the cable in and re-seat on both plug ends
