Title: DHCP not working anymore for wired computers but works on WIFI devices
Post by: johnny_h on August 14, 2013, 02:20:35 PM
We had alot of power outages in the last week and it seems like my DIR-655 has given up. It works fine for wifi clients I can connect to the router and obtain a DHCP address but none of the LAN ports seem to be working. I can't get an IP from my ISP(WAN) and when I connect wired computers they can't receive an IP from the router as well. I have tried a hard reset but no change.

Is their anything else I should try? I was also desperate when the problem happen and I upgraded the firmware to the latest over WIFI(ya I know, not suppose too). Even if I assign a static IP to the wired computers within the network range they can't connect to the router config page.

Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router.

Any external network switches being used?
