I have two 655s. One is an A2 and the other is an A4. Are there any differences between the two? Assuming both routers are updated with the same firmware and are positioned exactly the same, would i get a marginal throughput increase with the A4?

Compared to A2, A4 has a different switch part (Realtek on A4 and Vitesse on A2) and an updated version of the xspan radio. This might explain some enhancement in the A4, although the Vitesse switch is considered to be a little bit better than the Realtek switch (if even noticeable).

Just FYI...
Well, since I no longer needed to use the A4 in the previous network, I decided to replace the A2 with the A4 in my main setup. While I'm not really seeing any discernable speed variances, I can say that the error rate and dropped packets have dropped substantially. Both routers were configured exactly the same. I'll run the A4 for the next week and post any additional info I notice.
