Title: Power problem, please help
Post by: Locorroco on August 21, 2013, 10:03:16 AM
Hi, I have a NAS D-Link DNS-320 and from principiode funcionandod year and has been since. Yesterday I turned it off and turned it on. Since then it has been with the LED, which indicates power on, blinking, which means that it is shutting down or restarting (according to the manual). But is that it takes many hours doing that and not normal. I've unplugged for 1 hour and I have plugged back, but still the same.

Is there any way to get back to normal?

If I can not do anything, I can only make the NAS back to factory settings to see if it returns to normal, but not if you lose the RAID 1 that I have and thus the hard disk information.

Can anyone clarify this? It would help.

Greetings

First thing to do is check your power supply to see that it is supplying the full 12 volts if possible under load, although that means taking the unit apart - something I would not recommend unless you know what you are doing.

Resetting to factory defaults does not do anything to the data on your disks - all it does is return the user configurable settings back to what they were when you first got the unit.

I already checked the power supply and works well. So do not think that's it.

If this is so means that the hardware raid does not by software right? If so do a reset and see if it works.
