Title: Bittorent "Setting Page" not appear when using Firefox 3.0.5 or 3.0.10

Hardware Version : B1
Firmware : 1.08b
Software Version (Easy Search) : none

Hardrive 1 : WD5000AAKS-22YGA
Hardrive 2 : WD3200KS-22PFB0
No RAID, using 2 drive config

OS : Windows Vista Home Premium French
Browser : IE 8 French, Firefox 3.0.5 (and after, update with 3.0.10) French

Problem Type : On the "Bittorent page", Setting only show "Please wait... Downloading settings" when using Firefox V3.05

Step procedure :
First, i was using Firmware 1.06, and using EXT2.
1 - Plug a SATA drive to my PC, and duplicate my NAS to it (all files !.. took me 4 hours !)
2 - Upgrade the Firmware with the new version (beta)
3 - check the result.

- Bittorent Client not show in the AddOn
- Bittorent Client works, but seem not "up to date". The version install are old.
- Install manually the new version of Bittorent : error
- Remove manually the old version (delete the folder), and install the new version. OK (no error during the install)
- The "Setting page" still not accessible.


Step 2 :
1 - Format everything (all drive, using EXT3)
2 - Reset to Factory Default, re-apply the Firmware (beta)
3 - Install the Bittorent Client (only this one, not install anything else)
4 - copy all my data back to the NAS (6-7 hours)
2 - Test 1 download. Working !
3 - Setting page still not accessible.


good thing : Download working, and i was suprise to notice an e-mail to my blackberry told me that my download was finish !... very good feature.

So for me, i'm not able to change the setting, but the download is working OK.



NOTE :
- Setting page not show under FIREFOX V3.0.5 and V.3.0.10
- Setting page appear under IE 8

i am the same, i can get there with IE, but not with Google Chrome 1.0.154.65

Doesn't work in Opera 9.64, either. Only MS IE.

Got a Mac and same thing with Safari.

But i've try with the web browser on my Wii and i can acess the preference without problem!

For now it's the only way for me!

i just tried firefox 3.0.4 and same with me, i can't see anything ....

Mozilla Firefox 3.5b4. No settings.
Google Chrome 2.0.172.30. No Settings.
Microsoft IE 8.0.6001.18702. Settings.

On firefox I also have no-script enabled, but the NAS address is whitelisted.

OK I see it I am only able to get to it in IE, the settings options.

Hmmm.. i just re-test it with my Laptop (With WinXP SP2 French, + IE 6.0.2900.2180), and the Setting Page are Available...
It's really "Only Explorer" compatible...


A quick question : is it possible to tell Bittorent to use a port range ? (not only one)... it can speed up a litle the speed...

I hope that this post is still active.
I have put 1.08b on my dns-323 and also BT add-on. I have a lot of problems with this module like "connection to server failed".

Some help?

I suggest a real BT client, the NAS version is very limited and seems considerably slower than the PC based ones as well.

I do not agree with you. In previous firmware I hadn't problems with BT client. Downloads are fast as BT client on my desktop. I am testing 1.08b but BT has problems with server connection.

You're free to disagree with me, but I haven't changed my opinion of the NAS BT client. ;)
