Hello,
I have a DIR-825 specs are:
H/W Ver.:A1
F/W Ver.:1.14NA
This works with two of my other routers but not this one for some reason. I'm simply trying to change the LAN IP of the router to an 10.0.0.xxx scheme. My other routers 1 & 2 are 10.0.0.200/201. The D-Link will be 202. The main Comcast router is 10.0.0.1
1. Choose Manual internet connection setup
2. Choose Static IP
3. Fill in all the info
The problem is the LAN IP of the router stays at 192.168.0.1. SO when I'm on my 10.0.0.xxx network I can't log onto the router to change any settings,.
When I try and change it under internet I get a "WAN subnet conflicts with LAN subnet".. What am I doing wrong? This was so easy with the other two routers. ???

Are you changing the LAN and Router IP address to the 10.0.0.X scheme as well Under Setup/Networking?
Are you trying to use this as the main host router or a AP?

Hi,
Thanks for the welcome and reply!
This will be an AP, the Comcast router will stay as the main host router. When I try and change the LAN IP to a 10.0.0.202 under internet, I get a "WAN subnet conflicts with LAN subnet"

Please follow this for wired APs:

When I get to step #5. I can't save the setting because of this error "WAN subnet conflicts with LAN subnet" ???

You are removing the WAN connection and IP address from the WAN side and not connecting the WAN cable right? You only need the LAN cable connection.
Try a factory reset of the router and setup the 825 again from scratch with out connecting it to the main host router. You can configure the router with a PC first.

Any status on this? ???
