I have a 323 that with a drive in the left bay (always only had one drive) and i press the power button the lights will flash blue for a second then off. If I hold it down, they flash from blue to amber. Now, if I eject the drive, hold the power button it will then boot. If I catch the boot process quick enough by pushing the drive in sometime it will mount and I can use it.
The drive is fine in an external drive and works flawlessly. I see the power adapter is 12v/2A 5v/2A from reading this must be the wrong one as I think it needs to be 3A?
Really think the PSU is the issue missing 1A or is there a way to test the enclosure?

If you feel confident enough to take the covers off the unit and expose the circuit boards you can then check the on load voltages to see if they are indeed 12v and 5v. It will most probably be the 5v that is low.
With only one drive you can, sometimes, use a 2A supply to power the unit but this requires the PS to be in top condition.
If you can't find the correct 3A supply for the unit try and borrow a dual voltage adjustable power supply that will give more than 3A on each line and find a plug that will fit the unit, put them together and see if it will work. If it does then you need to buy a new PS.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that in the next few days and see what I get for results!
