Title: dir645 drops wireless connection every few minutes and cannot update firmware
Post by: kslwhite on August 28, 2013, 09:34:42 PM
Bought a new DIR-645.  Firmware states 1.0.   I downloaded 1.04 but when I try to upload it, I get an error message that it isn't the right file for the device or corrupt file, etc and stops.  The zip file extracted to a bin.  Is that correct?
Could the firmware be the issue with wireless dropping?  I stay connected if hard wired directly or through the router.
Please advise.

Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router.

For doing any FW updates, please follow this:

You might try downloading v1.01 or v1.02 and send the .bin file using FF.
