Hi,
I bought a DIR-655 in Taiwan.
Although I've set it up well, I'd love to turn the setup screens into English [instead of zht].
How can I do that?
Thanks,
Andy

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Is there a language drop down selection on the main web page or is there a language pack section under Tools/System or Tools/Firmware?

Hardware: B1
Firmware: 2.00
Region: Taiwan
Status: Has a lot of Chinese! Hence my problem!

You could load this and see if it changes to english:
DIR-655 B1 FW v2.00WW
Get it here:
http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/downloads2008.asp (http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/downloads2008.asp)
Select DIR and 655 from the 2 drop down menus.
Be wired to the router and ur FF to send the file. Do a factory reset before and after sending the file.

The factory reset *all* my settings - I can't believe you'd ask me to do that!
Just to "try".
Really?
Well it's still in Chinese and I've spend the last 4 hours setting up all the office computers.
There's no language drop down.
I'm not touching this again. Chinese is annoying but not as annoying as setting up a network after each time just "trying"!

You'll need to phone contact D-Link support as ask rhem for help on changing to English. Sorry about the reset however it is a neccessary step. I recommend u save off the routers configuration to file so if you do need to factory reset again, just reload the config from file.
Good luck.
