Hi all,
I have a DNS-320 running firmware 2.02, it's been working fine with a 2GB drive installed (although very slow at sending and files over the wired network).
I brought a second 2GB seagate drive, installed it and it has been formatting now for over 2 days. The progress bar when I log in still remains at zero percent. I can see both drives manufacturer, model, serial number etc in the System Status/Hard Drive Info screen, so assuming this is a good sign.
Surely this is not right over 2 days for a format?
Going to upgrade the firmware to version 3 at some point, but if the formatting is going wrong for some reason what are the suggested reset steps?
Thanks in advance,
Ant

There is a problem that sometimes (or is it always ?) the second drive cannot be formated, it hangs for ever on format.
The solution (as described in this post (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=45371.0)) is to format the drive alone, as in take out the other drive, format the new drive alone and after that put back both drives.
Hope this helps.

I hope you have 2TB not 2GB drives... :P
Had the same issue as you, hung at formatting, pulled out 1st drive and tried again...no go, so put 2TB drive in PC, formatted it there and then re-inserted it alone and it formatted quickly @1 minute
