The DCS-932L only transmits black and white video/images when the camera enters Night Mode. From what you describe the camera is most likely toggling between Day Mode (color) and Night Mode (black and white) due to variations in lighting in the room the camera is located.

DCS-932L/942L - Why Does My Live Video Feed Only Displays in Black & White? (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47663.0).

As far as the image size is concerned, how are you viewing the video feeds on each computer?

Thanks for clearing that up the day/night makes sense

To answer your question am doing the same for both computers...I go to my dlink log in... and the camera loads....on one i get a screen about 6 x 8   on the other about 3 x 3 (inches)

If you are on the same network as the cameras, your picture will be big. If you're not, the picture will be small.
