Title: DCS-5010L - Video Has Pink/Purple Hue
Post by: JavaLawyer on September 14, 2013, 05:36:56 AM
My DCS-5010L video exhibits a pink/purple hue when the bit rate is changed either up or down. Have any other DCS-5010L owners experienced this issue?

Occurs using FW v1.00 and v1.01.

I'm seeing this issue on mydlink and on the LAN via the web UI whenever the bit rate is altered.   ???  :-\

Haven't changed  CBR.

On quality max or whatever that option is.

I can try CBR later.

The default bit rate is 2 Mbps, change to any other value. As soon as the change is applied, the color changes for ~5-7 minutes.

SETUP > Video > VIDEO PROFILE > Bit Rate

SETUP > Video > VIDEO PROFILE > Bit Rate

My java is insecure and I can't run in the browser.

But the android app was in mjpeg mode, and the changing the bit rate just cause the app to reconnect.

My OSD color did go to a blue/purple color, and some times there is a quick frame that isn't the right color, but it goes away.

On a whim, I performed a factory reset last evening and the symptoms went away. Like you just described, the pink/purple color persists for only a frame or two before resuming normal color.
