Title: http access
Post by: bobmarlya on September 15, 2013, 11:05:28 AM
Hello there!
Have not understood at all if i could connect my iOS device or laptop to DNS-325 from different locations
using 3g or wifi connection with any itunes app (for iOS) or browser (laptop) through direct web address (not via d-link or mydlink page) to get access to content of my DNS-325 (or my friends could do the same for sharing files)?
Regards, Stan

Yes, if you expose your NAS's webserver to Internet (ie forward port 80 to your NAS).

Thanx for response
It means that any other user incl. me who has access to his account on my d-link 325 could connect using iOS app or http browser. Right?
I ask it because i saw this kind of example of http address in d-link iOS app.

Mydlink Cloud is, to my best understanding, a different beast. You will need server app on your NAS. Optionally you can use client app on mobile device or use mydlinkcloud.com webpage to log in to your NAS.
I suggest you turn to the special mydlink cloud section in this forum (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?action=collapse;c=52;sa=expand;sesc=5e9654ade2069740a34daab23bf11165#52) to get the details.
Simple HTTP access from Internet will let you access the regular login page:
