Title: Email Notifications - Is It Possible to Configure Port other than 25
Post by: wlion1 on September 18, 2013, 06:32:49 AM
My ISP And most ISP these days do not allow SMTP off port 25 instead require 465 or 587.  Is there a firmware that allows this for these devices.  Thanks.

I believe firmware version 1.03 was the final release for the DNS-321 and there doesn't seem to be any means of changing the port number.

I was consulting with one of our router guru's on the forum and here's an experiment you can try, although we're not sure if this is even technically possible: You can try using port forwarding on your router to route the email from port 25 to 465/587. . . Again, I'm not sure if things work this way, but it's something to try.

I'm very curious to see if that solution will work. Please post back!  ;)
