Hi,
on my dlink 5222L , hw rev. A2, firmware 1.10 (this is the last available version on my country dlink site) i noticed that ntp synchronization only happens one time when I configure ntp from the web config interface. When the camera is rebooted the ntp synchronization does not work.
do you notice a similar behavior ?

Update to latest firmware v1.11 from here: https://www.mydlink.com/support
You do not need to use the one from your country's dlink site as this firmware works globally.

Hi Wolfkodi,
i read everywhere that it's absolutly not a good idea to install a generic firmware. (for example here: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=49256.0).
Why are you so sure this could be possible ? Did you do some tests ?

Hi eirav67,
My local dlink site points to the singapore dlink site for latest firmware updates. I've also downloaded a copy of the latest firmware from from the official US dlink site and did a cmd comp command and found no differences between the two files.

Also, that firmware region warning is only applicable to other dlink products such as routers where their firmware versions does have a region code appended behind the firmware number displayed on the top right corner of the web GUI page such as "WW".

Hi all,
i have the same problem with latest firmware 1.11.
I setup NTP correctly with dlink servers and date/time are correct,
but every time i reboot the camera the time never syncronize.
-
Have you tried a different NTP server ?
For example: 0.pool.ntp.org
Or if DNS is not working, try to use the IP address.
-
Same problem using the ip instead of the name.
When i swtich off the unit and switch on, it has the wrong time date; i must go to "time and date settings" and change ntp server to have the right time/date.
I tried different servers and different ips but the problem persists.

I can confirm that this problem will be fixed with firmware 1.12 :D. After installing this version a few weeks ago, I didn't have any problems anymore and time is set correctly by NTP every time the camera boots (my camera is only activated when I'm not at home).
