Is there any way to downgrade firmware? My camera (the new one, not the original faulty one) was working great on 1.01. I upgraded to 1.02 and now have to unplug and restart the camera every few days. It always shows the green LED but the feed stops, both to the D-Link app and to the Samba drive I store the video on. This is annoying as I often don't discover the problem for a few days. Plus what happens when I go away? I need the camera most then but can't reboot it. I am powering the camera over Ethernet. Thanks

Legacy firmware versions can be downloaded here: http://tsd.dlink.com.tw (http://tsd.dlink.com.tw)

Thanks. I'll try that and see if it helps... after I restart the Camera so I can access it to update the firmware!

Post back and let us know how things work out. ;)

So far I haven't had to reboot. I wonder what the issue was?

Did you downgrade the firmware? The DCS-7010L automatically reboots as part of the upgrade process.

Yes. I followed your link to get 1.01 and put this back on. It wasn't the reboot during upgrade that I was worried about. On 1.02 I was having to manually reboot every few days as the camera kept disconnecting from the network. I couldn't access it from the App, D-link portal or embedded web setup page (10.0.1.xx), nor was the video recording to my Samba drive. Once I unplugged the power (in this case via Ethernet) it would reboot and work for a day or so.
All seems to be working fine on 1.01, so I will stick with that for now.

Have other members with a DCS-7010L experienced similar issues with firmware version 1.02? ???
-
I have exactly the same issue - I have to reboot the camera every couple of days otherwise the video freezes (although the web interface still is still accessible but it shows a static image rather than live video).
I have firmware version 1.02. This issue started since I upgraded firmware around August 2013. The firmware shown in my interface is 1.02 but I can't find this version anywhere to download - was it removed? The latest available firmware for the 7010L appears to be 1.01.10 - all very confusing?
How can I downgrade? I've downloaded 1.01.08 and uploaded it to the camera but the interface is still showing 1.02?
Any help gratefully received as my camera is currently unreliable.
Thanks

I've had a 7010L up and running since about September with 1.02 firmware. The camera has been up and running continuously since then. It stopped writing to the microSD card briefly last month, but I think that was a temperature issue and not necessarily firmware. Regardless, the camera kept working.
I've been lurking here for a while and have seen these reboot issues come up and noticed they all seem to be powering the camera using PoE. I'm using the supplied AC adapter, plugging into a UPS. I wonder if this somehow ties in to how the camera is powered?

Yes, you are correct I'm powered by PoE.
Does anyone know how can I remove this flakey version of the firmware? Whatever I do I seem to be stuck with version 1.02

The legacy firmware versions are available for download here: http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/.
Make sure to select firmware files labeled as "ww" (i.e. for worldwide distribution).

Mine is working well with the last firmware from about 1 month.
