Title: DNS-323 Slow on MacBook vs PC
Post by: jesuzaineordonez on September 23, 2013, 01:11:52 PM
My DNS-323 runs slow on my MacBook (not Pro) running Mountain Lion. When I say slow, I mean that whenever I open up a folder it takes quite a bit of time for the files to load on the screen (anywhere from 3-7 minutes). This only happens with files, not folders. So if I open up a folder that contains other folders, I'll see them right away, but if those folders have files in it and I open that up I have to wait 3-7 minutes. Same goes for my sisters MacBook (Pro) running Snow Leopard.

On my boyfriend's PC running Windows 7, I see the files on the screen as soon as I open up the folder.

Is there something up with Apple? Is there anyway I could fix this. I hate using a PC but I end up doing so anyway because it's faster right now.

Google - mac slow access cifs - I have a vague recollection as to what the problem is, it is "mac related", but I'm just too lazy to look it up.

Still having trouble :(. If anyone could help me solve this problem before I throw my Mac across the room that'd be great!
