Title: DIR-857 keeps dropping internet connections.
Post by: mickeytech on September 25, 2013, 11:07:54 AM
Same situation here in the US. DIR-857 keeps dropping internet connections. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I have too many devices to reserve each IP. Tried most of the configuration settings and problem still exists. DLink needs to fix its DHCP issue on this device. Please post a firmware fix ASAP. I am a network engineer and have been struggling with this device since the 1st day it was released.

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

Router and Wired Configurations
Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router.

How many devices do you have? Granted I have about 15-20, not all online at the same time. All might devices have reserved IPs and have never experienced this internet connections.

What are you doing when this happens?
What applications and or devices are you using when this happens.
Please provide more details and if you can answer questions presented to you, this will help us get a better idea of your situation and help us give you better feedback and suggestions.

Hope we can help you out...
