Title: Dlink 2770L DLNA with 360
Post by: ijnky on October 01, 2013, 05:48:29 AM
Hi, I recently bought a 2770L. It's working great with the USB Hard drive over SMB network but the DLNA feature doesn't seem to be working. Bought the modem in Australia.

This is the best product page I could find the modem:

http://www.dlink.com/uk/en/support/product/dsl-2770l-adsl2-plus-gigabit-cloud-router-n300 and it states it working with DLNA devices.

The 360 picks up my Mac DLNA no problems and hasn't had any issues with other DLNA devices we've used on the network before. Is there some magic switch I'm not clicking? UPNP is definitely enabled.

Thanks for your help!

I might check the user manual for any media server options that should be enabled.

Also be sure that your devices support DLNA and all the various media file types.

You may need to phone contact your regional D-Link support office and inquire about this as well...

Hi,

It's already been back to the shop after not being able to restart ... and now I'm getting the shared usb drive constantly disconnecting after heavy use (with the only remedy being a modem restart) so I'm thinking this model is a bit problematic. Probably will have to swap it for a different model on Thursday if nobody has any suggestions on how to fix it (I don't really have time to contact D-Link support and go through all those channels - the made the process a bit time consuming).

Anybody else have the USB sharing disconnect during heavy usage issue?

Any status on this?

One thing you could do is to install a USB to LAN adapter for the drive and use it that way. Might work better for you...
