Hello Everyone
i have a DAP-1360 i want to use it as a Repeater (range extender)
with my actual router (a HuaWei )
i had no problem with the configuration
i installed it in a good place so i finally have access to wifi ! in area where i couldn't reach the signal with my old router
when i try to connect , (using Phone ) i have ('' Obtaining Ip Adress '') and nothing happens
my router has 192.168.1.1 as default ip
so i tried to set a manual static IP for the phone ''192.168.1.20 as example ''
i got connected, with Good signal strength. but NO internet !!
would you please help me !!!
thanks in advance

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=41537.0)
- What Hardware version is your DAP? Look at sticker under DAP.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DAP web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What router model # do you have?
Wireless Configurations for main host router
Links>Wireless Installation Considerations (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48327.0) and Managing Signal Congestion (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=53228.0)
- Ensure the default (dlink) SSID name is changed. Can be anything and not something thats already in use by any neighboring WiFi routers.
- What wireless modes are you using?
- 2.4Ghz Routers only: Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?
- Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
- Try setting a manual Channel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_channel) to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
- What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Encryption_Standard), so you might want to try TPIK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temporal_Key_Integrity_Protocol) only or Auto TPIK and AES.
- Any other WiFi routers in the area? Link> Use InSSIDer (http://www.metageek.net/) to find out. How many?

hello again
my dap H/w ver: C1
F/w ver: 3.02
region : Algeria
the router is a TPLINK TD-W8951ND ( i changed the huawei )
problem still up
-
What is the distance between the DAP and the main host router?
-
distance is about 7-8 meters .
a reasonable place
-
I would try a test at 3-5 meters and see how it goes.
What wireless modes are you using currently on the main host router?
Any other WiFi routers in the area? Use InSSIDer to find out. How many

Hello again Sir
thank you for your kind help !!!
i finally resolved my problem (that i think is just a bad configuration from the begining -.-' )
i went to lan setting on the DAP . set IP to Static (was Dynamic )
and did not enabled DHCP
and that solved my problem for now
my devices finally Obtain an IP adresse when i try to connect them
