I am unable to get my DVR’s to find the internet connection (error 22) however they do recognize
the network connection. Also I am able to ping both DVR’s. I’ve spent several hours on the phone with D-Link, DTV and ATT with no resolution. With each new try we have restored DTV default also rebooted router and modem to try and get a good handshake.

It is possible that the DVRs might not be correctly responding to the DIR-615 "standard" DNS Relay. DNS RELAY forces all DNS "requests" to be sent to the DIR-615 as if it was your network's onlt DNS server. This has failed for me, on other devices, before.

So how do I work around that? Is there a router setting to change or a DVR setting?

Access the router and on the Manual Internet setup, turn off DNS Relay. Once the router reboots, the other devices need to be restarted also. The correct DNS entries will be sent to each and used instead of the relaying of all DNS request.
