Title: Wireless can't find wired...
Post by: ne11 on October 11, 2013, 05:09:56 AM
Hello,

I have a DSR-1000N router and I got a problem. The machines that are connected to it wireless cannot find the machines that are connected wired.

The complete situation:
I have several laptops and a media player which are connected to the router wireless. I also have a desktop computer and a NAS which are connected to the router using a wire.
The wireless machine can find the other wireless machine, but they cannot find the machines which are connected with a wire.

I can ping the machines from wired to wireless and visa versa. This works fine. But when I open 'network' in windows on the laptops the wireless machine cannot find the wired once. When I connect one of the wireless machines with a wire it all works fine.

I especcially need this to connect the mediaplayer to the NAS.

Does anybody have a solution to this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Niels

Hi,

are all (wired and wireless) computers on the same network range or wired and wireless are in different ones?
What operating system is running on the wireless machines? What firmware version are you running on the D-LINK unit?
