Hello
I want to install the driver of a D-Link DSL-200 modem. But installer tells:
"The DSL Modem is already installed. To upgrade the software, you must remove the current software and then run Setup again later."
I think:
Formerly, before reading manual (unfortunately), I have plugged modem into computer first; while I must plugged-in modem at a finalizing step of installing its driver (as told in manual). However the driver was not installed, but I think some registry and/or files of it have created on computer.
I used its driver remover from D-Link website, but problem remained.
Please help me for resolving this problem. ???
O.S: Windows XP SP2

- What region are you located?
Usually if you connect via LAN wired cable, drivers are not needed...

I am in Iran.
This modem is connected to computer by USB cable.
Before asking here, I have asked this question in the following page, but problem was not resolved.

Does your PC have any Wired LAN connection support by chance?
-
My computer does not have Ethernet connection. But for this modem that itself does not have this connection (as shown in the picture in the given page), what is the utility?

Try here:

I went to that page. But in the page for DSL-200, only 4 drivers exist that 3 are for Windows Vista and one for "7"; and seen nothing for Windows XP.

You could try this, download the Vista drivers, extract the files from the .zip file to the desktop. Plug in the USB cable to the router, and use the XP wizard point to that folder and see if XP will install the necessary drivers.
If this fails, you'll need to contact your regional D-Link support office and inquired about XP drivers or update your PC to Vista or 7.
Good Luck.
