Hi
Have an dilemma.
Short version: i want to allow ip telephon traffic in to a few selected ip adresses.
Long version :) :
Replacing and old DIR-100 with a DIR-655 (hw B1).
The DIR-100 has a firewall rule list, the 655 don't.
Reference:
http://suporte.dlink.com.br/suporte/emuladores/DIR/DIR_100/Advance/adv_firewall.htm
http://support.dlink.com/emulators/dir655/133NA/Firewall.html
In the DIR-100 i have stated the following
inbound from external x.x.x.x - x.x.x.x on udp port xxxx - xxxx are open to talk to internal adresses 192.168.0.x - 192.168.0.x
How do i go about to do this on the DIR-655 ?
On the 655 i can create a Inbound filter for the external adresses, but portforwarding only handle one internal adress as target, not a range. And Virtual Server cant set a port range.
And i dont think im able to set serveral rules with the same ports, it will what i remember say that they already are in use.
Best regards
Michael
ps. maybe this should be moved to the European child forum since im located there.

Use the DMZ under Firewall settings...

Thank you but its not an option to expose these devices totally. There must be a "best practice" way of doing this.

Can try this and see if it works for you:
Gaming and QoS for XBL (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42011.0)
Use the "OtherDevices" rule listed there...

Thank you, ill give that a try. It does though look like when you read the description text that it only priorities traffic and not opening ports.
Will see.

If you have uPnP enabled it should if you set up QoS rules. Its was we use for xbox gaming.

Okey, thanks.
Will report when i tried.

Any status on this? ???
