Title: Can't access configuration page
Post by: exit370 on May 21, 2009, 09:53:44 AM
Need help badly. I have the DIR-615 and it's connected to a PC on XP SP2. I have connection to internet and I am working on creating a network for my pc and two laptops using Vista. Even the laptop see the router and has access to the internet. I tried connecting to 198.168.0.1 and I always get the error that I can't connect. I bet this is simple, but hell if I can figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Update your PC to SP3

Please explain why SP3 would be needed to access the router web pages?  I have successfully accessed a DIR-615 web pages from an XP SP2 system before?

Address must be entered as:  http://192.168.0.1

Otherwise, the IE may force the address to be seen from the Internet.

What is the IP address of this PC and what is the default gateway IP address?

If you can not access 192.168.0.1, then this may mean that it is not the IP address of the router.

PC IP is 64.53.161.146 and Default Gateway is 64.53,160.1. Is that wrong?
