Title: DIR-655 Shareport Plus connection failure

DIR-655
HW A4.
FW 1.35NA
Shareport Plus 4.20
Windows 8 x64 on a dell inspiron laptop.
So far any usb device I plug in will not connect. Shareport plus recognizes any device I plug in, but when I hit connect, it errors saying connection failed. They all work perfectly when directly plugged into my laptop. Any ideas?

I'm having the exact same problem

DIR-632
hardware v A1
firmware v 1.01NA
SharePort Plus v 4.2.0 R1
Windows 7 desktop
Shows my Canon MX310 is there but when I try to connect "Connection to Canon MX310 series failed"

Does it work if you use a PC with an earlier verion of Windows? Did it work with any earlier version of Windows?
Possible issue with Windows 8.

I would remove the printer icon from the Printers folder under windows control panel, ensure you set a different default printer. Then let SP set up the printer icon again and see if it will reconnect.

You could try updating to v1.37 however release notes is just a fix for Samsung wireless devices so I don't think that will help.

You might try v3 of the SP software and see if that works.

Thanks Furry.  Firmware updated and Shareport 3 installed.  Connects fine now.

Shareport 3.0 got me closer. But the firmware upgrade sealed the deal!! I'm so ecstatic. It only took 4 different versions of shareport and 3 firmware upgrades to achieve wireless printing. Thanks Fuzzy furry Nutz!
