Title: DNS-325 USB disk is always shared by everyone?
Post by: tombat on October 18, 2013, 12:35:18 AM
Hello, a question, I have an external drive connected to my DNS-325 and I see him through the folders shared with the standard name USBDisck_1, the problem is that I can not change permissions

I created FTP users, and I authorized the folders, only these users (like any other) also sees USB disk and all of its contents.

How do I prevent it?

thanks 1000

I spent a lot of time with this myself and finally gave up. Obviously a firmware bug that hopefully will get resolved.  What I've done to ensure there is no unauthorized access to the USB drive is to disable the FTP server in the DNS325.   Of course if running an FTP server is important to you then that's a problem.  You many need to remove the USB and only use the harddrive Volumes.
