Title: can not access drink 655
Post by: JOHIRSH on October 20, 2013, 07:54:54 AM
I think think I know the answer to this already..    The last of my DIR-655 has started experiencing problems.. well actually it no longer communicate

I can ping it but I can't access it  It seems to be performing most of its functions well with exception of port 80  but i can not access it from it intra net  or from the internet

naturally this is on a remote machine

i seem to remember that there is no command line or ssh way to deal with this  right  just a physical reset

I would install a remote access program on a PC that the remote location as an alternative access should the routers UI become none functional and still providing internet...

I rememner you having an issue with the DGL-4500 in a similar remote location..Hows that working?

No it was a problem with another dir-655   on the OTHER remote location (remote being where I am at a point of time)  I gave up on it

I have a remote access viewer   so i can access a snow leopard server I have running on that net
the issue is the DIR-655 seemed too have dropped part of its port  forwarding (three ports  I have found so far  including port 80)
