Title: Upgrading to 1.08b prevents network access to drives
Post by: PhillB on May 21, 2009, 02:44:52 PM
After upgrading from 1.07 to 1.08b I was unable to access the DNS-323 volume across my network.  The IP address reamined static, and I could access the GUI from its static IP, but accessing the drives themselves was not possible.

Re-flashing back to 1.07 set the DNS IP to dynamic via DHCP, but one found with the easy search utility and the IP set back to staic teh drives could be accesed again.

I then tried to reproduce this by flashing back to 1.08b but this time the drives remaind accessable with no problems.

I'm not sure what might have caused the initial inability to access the drives, or why the IP got reset to use DHCP either.

I recommend you to do a factory reset using the reset button at the back of your DNS-323, after upgrading to firmware 1.08.

Then set up the DNS-323 manually again. Not uploading your previous settings.
