Title: DCS IP camera not working...
Post by: cfhjag on October 25, 2013, 08:09:18 AM
Hello all,

I can't find my camera in the list of cameras and I have no idea why...
I've connected it straight into the router with a cable and when I check my router page, it's there.

Really appreciate your help!

What FW version are you using? You shoukd use the latest Wizard software build to match the latest firmware version.

turn your firewall off and see if that helps. if it doesnt return it for refund. IMO the 5010 suffers from manufacturing rate of defects higher than the older cams ie the 942. It seems to use a cheap WIFI card.

I have exactly the same problem and have tried most things except update the firmware. I don't know if I am doing something stupid but the instructions seem to say that to install the latest firmware you need the IP address you get back in the search for camera stage. If the camera is not found then you don't get this information. Am I missing something?
