Title: samsung tv connection
Post by: pompeygazza on October 26, 2013, 04:24:28 AM
hello, just installed a dns-325 and all's well so far as pc access to files, but although my samsung tv can see the drive (with a ? over the top) and i can go into the directories, i can't see any files.  i've seen a few links on here to this but none seems to provide a step by step solution.

can anyone help?

regards,

pompeygazza

A *wild* guess would be that while the TV can see the device it cannot access any of the mount points (aka shares) because of username/password restrictions. (i.e. The TV doesn't know what username to use to reach the share and if it did/does it doesn't know the password to use.)
