Title: How to include '=' character in password?
Post by: srahulbose on October 26, 2013, 11:06:15 PM
My BSNL ADSL password contains = character.

D-Link will not allow me to use = in the password.

(The option of changing the password from one having = to one not having =, is not possible.)

Only option is for me to enter the password with the = on the dlink settings pages.

How can I do?

I tried to download the setting backup file, update it manually and restore.  But the XML itself is not ASCII encoded.  So, I cannot manually edit it.

Is there a way I can force Dlink to accept my = password?

You may need to ask the ISP to change it. D-Link might not support that kind of special character in the PW field.

I recommend that you phone contact D-Link support and ask them about this field and if they can help.
