I highly doubt the firmware from these two models are cross-compatible. D-Link codes fail-safes in each ShareCenter model to prevent accidentally uploading FW from the wrong model.  Additionally, firmware from two different hardware revisions of the same ShareCenter are not cross compatible, so I highly doubt that firmware from two different models will work together. For example, DNS-320 hardware rev. "A" and DNS-320 hardware rev. "B" use different firmware pipelines although the two revisions share the same model number. Finally, in the off-chance that the firmware did successfully upload, do you really want to trust untested firmware to securely store your critical data?
