I have a DIR-655 (v. 1.21) which does not work with windows 7 and IE 11.
-
Does using a different browser like Opera or FF work?
-
Use Compatibility View for the Router's admin pages and it should work for you. I have an A2 and it didn't view right until I used the Compatibility View.
Go to the router's login page, press the Gear Button. Select Compatibility View Settings. When the box opens up, it should have the IP address of the router in the text box, just hit the add button and you should be all set.

Yes, Chrome works fine and thanks compatibility view makes IE work
Anybody got an idea why I can't upgrade FW from 1.32 to 1.37?
-
Glad you got it working.
Please review this for doing FW updates:

"Go to the routers admin page and press the gear Button." Where is the gear Button? Is this something on the router? I have a DIR 655. Using Windows 7 and IE 11. Thanks.

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection
