I did another test copying files (798MB) from Volume 1 (RAID 1) to Volume 2 (JBOD).
Somehow, the transfer speed is different when I did it from computer attached to CAT6 and Modem/Router as opposed to via wireless.
My understanding is copying files from volume 1 to volume 2 should be considered within local drive of NAS. It should not affected whether it is administered via wireless or wired.
Can someone please explain?

How are you copying the files?
If you drag drop files from Volume_1 to Volume_2 from Windows (i.e. from your PC desktop), the files are actually copied twice: (1) the data is copied from the DNS-327L Volume_1 to your PC; and (2) copied from your local PC back to the DNS-327L, Volume_2.
If you schedule a local backup from within the DNS-327L web UI, then the data transfer will be confined to within the DNS-327L and completely independent of your network, which will result in a much faster transfer rate.

Thanks for the clarification. That makes sense now. In fact, that was what I did.
