Title: About firmware

Good day,

I just bought a 868l - the firmware installed was 1.04.
I have some issues with the internet PPoE connection and i tough the firmware was the problem so i made a downgrade to version 1.01b (first that i found)
At the end there was no firmware issues was a bad password.

Now my question:

I am living in Romania (Europe)
After checking for firmware upgrade from the router interface i find version 1.02 available
I made that update and then check again for firmware update but it returns that 1,02 is the latest firmware.

Can someone please explain my what firmware version is ok for my area and why - again, from the factory there was version 1.04, after downgrading to 1.01 the firmware check find only firmware 1.02.

Not sure where you got your 868L from however you should have kept it loaded before downgrading.

The only released version for your region is v1.01 thats located here:

I presume that the update servers only have v1.02 on the servers and have not put or released v1.04 on the update server as of yet.

I recommend that you want v1.04 on the router, you should phone contact D-Link support and ask them where you can get it or if they can send it to you.

thanks for your response.

I get the router from Romanian distributor and it was new.

Currently is running version 1.04 and works excellent.

Could you please tell me why this version is not good for my region?
Is it about the radio frequency emission or what exactly should be the difference between this firmware updates?

The wireless channels are different. But if you don't have any issues relax :)
