Hi guys. My friend has just bought this 4 bay nas and he is not very familiar with computers, so I would like to know if there is any way to access web interface over the internet (some kind of remote management) in order to change nas settings if the need arises. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I know what is like to post and have people read and not comment - so, I hear you!
I am still struggling with my own issues but I think you should look at setting your friend up with mydlink cloud. If he then shares his access details with you, you should have access to his NAS.
Hopefully someone more experienced will correct me if I am wrong about this - good luck.

Thank you for your response. I will check mydlink cloud service.

The mydlink services (i.e. mydlink.com website) do not support the DNS-345. Only D-Link products with an "L" designation in their product name (e.g. DNS-320L) are supported by mydlink. That said, D-Link offers an independent app called "mydlink Cloud" (not to be confused with the mydlink.com site/service) on the DNS-345 that permits remote access to DNS-345 content and some limited degree of remote configuration. Once the mydlink Cloud is enabled and configured, the DNS-345 can be accessed remotely via a web browser or mobile app (DNS-345 - mydlink Cloud App (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=51462.0)).

This post (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=52547.0) in the FAQs seems to say that the DNS-345 is supported?

Only "L" series hardware are supported. The DNS-325/345 use the mydlink Cloud App which is independent of mydlink.com. I cleaned up the language in the referenced FAQ to avoid any ambiguity.
