I want to address my issue that i have a workgroup enviroment approxmetialy 50users and we use static IP address in our enviroment and we have also sa wifi router for smartphone users and in router i have put different private IP network address pool which is ofcourse different than the workgroup enviroment IP address (i.e 10.0.0.0 / 8 for domain enviroment systems and 172.168.0.0/16 for wifi router DHCP)
So we would like that smartphone users which are on 172 and domain users which are on 10 Ip network could communicate with each other like share files , access remotely each other, access local web servers and many more things which is possible.
So question is how could both networks communicate with each other and i want to make them communicate by configuring the same router. Is there any option in it?
Its urgent issue to be resolve.

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
It's preferred that you would need to have the same IP address pool and sub net to communicate and not be on a different pool and subnet. If you need to be on different pools and subnets you'll need a different class router to handle the routing between LANs.
I recommend phone contacting your regional D-Link support office and ask them specifically if the 605L an router between LANs and if not, what specific model router can? Please ask them about a DSR series class router.
The DIR series class router is a home and small office kind of router with limited routing abilities and not meant for larger business class environments.
Let us know what you find out.
