I've tried the 30-30-30 technique on my DIR-825 and never get the amber light or firmware update web page. I've tried holding in the reset for many minutes before, during, and after powering off/on. It appears to be running the reset over and over again and never going to emergency setup. In fact, the amber light never goes on, even when powering up normally. I only see blue lights.
I just updated to the latest firmware through the Tools>Firmware page; the unit seems to be functioning normally. Any ideas on why I can't get into emergency mode?

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Try this?

The Version is A1 (BIR825ANA-A1).
I just updated FW from 1.13 NA to 1.14 NA

And its working now?

Yes, it seems to be working fine, it's just that the amber lights never go on and I can't get it into the Firmware Update mode.

You should be able to use the main router web page now for doing any FW updates.
If you do FW updates, please follow this:

I wanted to install the ddwrt firmware which doesn't seem possible through the admin interface. It gives me an error when I try.

You'll need to refer to the WRT support site for that.
