Title: files impossible to delete
Post by: youlii on December 11, 2013, 05:25:13 AM
Hi,

I have a problem with my DNS-323 (soory for my English btw I'm french).
I copied all my files on my DNS and 5 files ended up being corrupted.
There are fine on my computer, but transformed in the DNS: originally there were pictures, now there are still picture but their sizes and info are completely wrong. One is over 3500000000 Ko
I can't delete them. When I look at their infos, it's not normal.

1st file:  652 902 Ko
owner :1243558884 (Unix User\1243558884)
Users: everybody and 1243558884 (Unix User\1243558884) ans 1359371561 (Unix Group\1359371561). Under everybody you have a total control.

2nd file: 4 053 613 Ko
users: everybody and unix user -122681041 and unix group -1312307651
owner: unix user -122681041
there is no total control for this file

3rd file: 3 530 928 565 066 Ko modified the 2037/05/28 (???)
Can't access security info

4th file: 2 454 884 Ko
users: everybody and unix user -857136825 and unix group 16745809
The group has total control, everybody only writing/reading

5th file: 996 757 Ko modified the 2031/04/22

do you have any idea on how to delete these files? I tried the dos command, the internet adress...
Is it possible to take the harddrive and put it in another computer and delete the files?

Thanks

Kind of a silly thing but try rebooting and then see if you can remove the files.  On occasion the nas thinks someone is accessing the file and will unlock it after rebooting.

Also try rebooting or disconnecting any devices on your LAN that may be trying to access the DNS-323.

Do you have an update on this issue? Were you able to free-up the above referenced files for deletion?
