Title: Unable to hard reset.
Post by: nexusys on December 12, 2013, 03:49:42 AM
Guys,

I need help to hard reset my camera.

I have followed Dlink steps to set up the camera, but the Green LED wont lit up.

I press and hold reset button for 6 secs and a bit. Unfortunately it wont reset.

I already turn on and off many times. It just not resetting at all.

Do you know any other solution while waiting for dlink Australia support to answer my call that ive been hold for good 25mins staying at no 1 queue. :-\

Thanks in advance.

You're pressing and holding the recessed reset button on the rear of the camera using a paperclip?
You may want to power cycle the camera first. Unplug the DCS-5222L for a minute and plug back in, then try the reset procedure again.

Hi, same problem here. Suddenly the dcs5222l wasn't available anymore. When I reset the device by pushing reset with a paperclip for +8 seconds, the green light stays on but the Red power icon goes black.

When I power cycle, the device calibrates as normal, and the Red power icon stays on. When I insert the Network Cable, the green light comes up (but no Connectivity). Pushing reset will cause the Red power icon to go black again. No reset seems to be performed.

When I power cycle and keep the reset button pressed while starting, the power icon is blinking until I release the reset button, nut no reset is performed.

The dlink camera detection tool doesn't detect the camera either, although another dlink camera is detected succesfully.

Is there some kind of recovery mode available?

Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks...
