Title: Need to update DSL-2750B firmware
Post by: joltsu on December 16, 2013, 03:53:43 AM
I've recently been experiencing lots of connectivity problems all of a sudden and figured that I'd update the firmware on my 2750B, but the ftp link on the D-Link website isn't working for me at least. The link I'm trying to download the firmware from is ftp://ftp.dlink.eu/Products/dsl/dsl-2750b/driver_software/DSL-2750B_revB1_2-02_eu_en_20120424.zip but the whole EU ftp is down for me. ftp.dlink.com works for me, but doesn't seem to have the firmware I'm looking for.

Also, if anyone would have any idea what could be causing my internet connection to drop from 1AM to around 10AM every 2-10 minutes or so, help would be appreciated. Only happens at that time of day and the connection drops for just from a few seconds to 5 minutes. Connected through an Ethernet cable.

Finally got the firmware downloaded, but when trying to upload the .zip or .bin file it just says "Invalid file format". Tried uploading it with Chrome, FF and IE. Apparently it might be a 2750B rev D1, and only the german D-Link site has the firmware. I'm guessing this should work, I'm just wondering why the version on this one is 1.02 while the other one I downloaded is 2.02. Is there no 2.02 firmware for the rev D1?

Before trying to update:
I recommend that you have your ISP check the phone line cabling going to the ISP modem, check signal levels going to the ISP modem. Check for phone line filters and ensure they are correctly installed and working properly. The modem operation is dependent upon getting good data flow and  signal from the ISP Service. Ask the ISP to check there logs during the time frames on when you notice this outage.

Hardware version seems to be D1, I went and updated the firmware to 1.02 (was previously 1.01). I'm located in Finland, the firmware update seemed to go just fine. I'm going to have to check with my ISP if they would know something about constant connection drops - updating the firmware didn't really help, I'm still getting constant drops after midnight.

Ya, I think the ISP need to check there logs and the signal going to the modem. Keep us posted.
