Hi,
I just bought a DNS 345, plugged it in... Nothing.
But i could access it trough my browser.
So I set up the drives, the drives are formatted, but still no sign in the windows setup.
I checked whether my router is blocking it, but it isnt.
Then I tried to update the firmware, but that failed.
(dont know if that is a clue of some sort?) ???
So: the setup from Dlink doesnt see the drive, the storage utility doesnt see the drive, windows doesnt see the drive, but i can access it trough the browser (chrome) >:(
What would you suggest that I try next?

Any update on this issue? ???

I had to register and thank you. It helped me a lot :-) I've managed to connect through IP address as you suggested and then I've put it into favorites.
Of course, there were some issues instaling on new pc and I have just one more question - is there a way to go through entire installation and actually find the device the "right way"?
Please see where my installation stops:

Make sure you download the latest Setup Wizard rather than using the one that came with your DNS-345, as there are often dependencies between newer firmware and Setup Wizard version.
http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/ (http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/) (make sure you download a version that is labeled as either "WW" (worldwide), "NA" (North America), or USA

Nope, it didn't work :-( Even with the newest one DNS-345_Setup_Wizard_EU_v1.0.2.7.
Also, it looks like the other soultion is not working. When I insert it, it asks for password again and again...

Practically speaking, you don't need the setup wizard to configure the DNS-345. You can manually create a network drive mapping through Windows and configure the device through the web UI using a browser on a PC on the same LAN as the DNS-345 (I used this approach on my two DNS-345s).

Ok, somehow I managed to do this, but don't ask me how. Thank you very much, you are a lifesaver :-)
