Hello Guys,
I need help on installation of my New router.
i changed my old router to DIR-615. But i am having difficulty to connect other PC on it through WAN.
Using my OLD router, there is no problem on connection.
By the way i am using my Office PC LAN and connect to DIR-625 Router (same thing i did in my OLD router).
this is how it connected.
1.LAN Cable form Router connected to LAN port on DIR-615 Router (LAN Port1).
2.LAN cable from PC connected to LAN port2 of DIR 615.
3.My PC IP is 192.168.1.22
With this same connection using my OLD router, other Laptops can connect wirelessly and able to exchange data.Unfortunately, using DIR-615 other Laptop cannot connect.
Hopefully someone can answer this.
Thanks in advance.

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Are you using the 615 as the main host router connected to a ISP modem or is there another router i between the ISP modem and the 615?
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
- What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
Region: Middle east- United Arab Emirates.
DSL Connection
Router Model: DIR-615 N300
H/W Ver: M2
F/W Ver: 1.0.13
This is my original connection using my PC.
1. My PC (IP of 192.68.1.22) is connected to router which we use in the office.
2. Then i set-up new router so that my other laptop can connect in the network through WIFI.
3. So, I disconnected My PC LAN and use this to connect to the newly set-up router. (LAN PORT1)
4. I used another LAN cable (not cross over cable) to connect my PC to newly set-up router (LAN PORT
With this connection (using my OLD router lynksys) i can able to connect my laptop in the network through wifi (with static IP. 192.168.1.58). Unfortunately, when i change my router to DIR-615 N300 with my previous set-up,i cannot able to connect now.
below is the snapshot of my connection.

Try fixed IPs 192.168.0.xx instead of 192.168.1.xx or change the IP-range in the router.

- If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems: Link>Double NAT (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm) and How NAT Works (http://cognitiveanomalies.com/cisco-nat-how-nat-works/). To tell if the modem is bridged or not, look at the routers web page, Status/Device Info/Wan Section, if there is a 192.168.0.# address in the WAN IP address field, then the modem is not bridged. If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.
