1.  Java apps to view live video and playback can't get this to work yet but it may be java security issues on my computer.
2.  Direct support for DCS-5020L Cameras.

For me, this firmware update is a disaster.  I cannot get live view, playback, or recording to work.  I think it turned my DNR-322 into a brick!

Lost "Live View" after updating to Java Version 7 Update 51

The following procedure can be used to adjust the Java security exceptions in Windows after updating to the latest Java version.

Note: Selecting Java from the Windows Control Panel may not provide access to the Edit Site List option on all PCs. The above navigation path must be used to access these settings.

Hi, I,m new to this forum . I,m having few problem after upgraded to v2.00b07 . It should be all cause by 1 problem .

1. Setup > Recording Schedule > Manual Record : "Enabled" .

 - If i,m not wrong. , it should be "Disable" . No matter how I change my settings(Recording Mode) , it keep
   showing "Enabled" .

 - I've called up dlink CS to troubleshoot this issue , but can't resolve . Advise me to bring down to the CS to
   check .

 - Dlink CS replaced another unit with v2.00b07 firmware upgraded . Bring back setup everything was fine .
2 days later found device forgotten to not update on mydlink account , so arrange the configuration .

 - After config the settings found "Manual Record : "Enabled"" again .

 - Tried System Restart, Restore To Factory Default Settings & all don't work .

 - Restore To Factory Default Settings don't even change anything , only password reset , the others camera
    settings still around .

2. Status > Camera Settings

 - Connection Status : Connected

 - Recording Status : No Recording

3. Live Video

 - Camera Played : Recording Mode not appeal on the screen(round icon in red & blue) .

4. Live Video

 - All camera icon was played & logout server , relogin & camera not on play mode .

Hope someone can help me on all this issue .

Thanks & Regards
Sgleong .

What about adding a feature to disable UPNP on the NVR itself? The DLINK cameras that I have all have this option but the NVR doesn't.

May not be any need to disable uPnP on this DNR as most users only have one DNR.

There definitely is a need as UPNP is totally unsecure for this DNR-322L. I want to have UPNP open for a few other devices for gaming like my PS4 on my network but not for this DNR. This DNR automatically opens a hole to the internet and exposes it. That's why there have been several security patches. (see article http://www.pcworld.com/article/2045643/vulnerabilities-in-dlink-network-video-recorders-enable-remote-spying-researcher-says.html)

I want the ability to turn off UPNP for this device but leave it available for my PS4 to use on my network. The cameras I have disabled. I get access to the DNR and cameras through MyDlink.com instead of directly accessing it through my local ISP IP.

I did a search on SHODAN.IO and at one time because I had UPNP enabled it showed all my cameras and DNR as open to the internet. This is not good. i quickly disabled UPNP totally on my router and then disabled it on the cameras. I want the same ability to disable it on the DNR.

While we are on the subject

There is a problem with how it handles motion detection. It runs all the time instead of working with motion detection. Even though the setting is set for on motion event only.

What FW version are you currently using?

That article is almost 3 years old. I presume D-Link has reviewed any security issues by now and has fixed them where needed.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
