Oh no! Devicelist on the "direct" configuration pages 192.168.9.1 is not updated. Actually the Mydlink interface (web and app) has more devices shown, than the router interface:

Device names are also unsynced. Did a firmware update directly from the router to 1.06 - but that did not work either, until I made a manual download. Cold reboot several times.
After struggling with a Linksys EA-6500 with a flawed device list this is a big disappointment with my new DIR-868L. This is such a basic feature of a modern router, ofcause it has to show a correct devicelist!!! Otherwise I can't make an effective access control...
----------------------
update: testing a device-block from Mydlink. Result: Blocking the wrong device (my main server instead of my reciever). Will try 1.04 firmware... to be continued...
------------------------------------
FW v1.04 works better: Devices are now visible on the routers interface pages. Names are still not synced to Mydlink. Blocking a device requires a reboot, but if that's what it takes...
I'm not impressed, but this router just got a couple of days grace time.

- What region are you located?
Give it a few days. We've noticed that host names and devices take time to appear on the routers list. Host names seen by router may show as blank or unknown if the router can not get a complete host name from the device. Some devices don't have host name options. Refer with the Mfr support site on what is supported by the device.

Thanks, my region is EU/DK. I'll give it time - my EA-6500 got about 80 days. But it's not a good sign that the device list is better on the cloud interface than the routers own list.
FW 1.04 seems to get it right, and at least better, but the 1.06 was the routers own suggestion?!
Anyway I'm used to electronics that are not finished when released for the market. I did a lot of research on DIR-868L, Linksys EA-6500, Netgear R6300/7000 and Asus RT-AC66U. I'll end up with the least bad of them. It'll replace DIR-655, my trusty router for 5y.

Usually i see a full list populate with in a day or two...are you power cycling all devices after connecting to the router or just pluging in the router and giving it time to collect device information?
Where did you get v1.06 from? The NA site? I see Germany has v1.06 avail for the EU region.

Problem is unsolved, and furthermore: It drops wireless connections on arbitrary devices. While some devices are connected others are not, and the only solution is to reboot the router. I'll try 1.6 firmware.

Please follow this for updating FW:

Also the mydlink.com site has been updated, at least here in the NA region. I presume it should have been as well for the EU region.
